A Close Up on Benicassim Festival

| On 02, May 2012

FIB is much more than just a music festival; over 100 acts perform over 4 days – over 4 stages, with 8 days free camping; FIB is beach by day, music by night.

Benicassim Festival is set amongst the stunning natural beauty of the East Spanish coastal town of Benicassim, featuring a dizzying array of top live acts, including The Stone Roses, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Florence + The Machine and Dizzee Rascal (among many, many more) with past acts including such luminaries as The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Oasis and Morrissey. This years line up includes Bob Dylan, The Stone Roses, At The Drive-In, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Florence + The Machine a whole host of world renowned acts, needless to say, Benicassim is Europe’s premier summer event.

Benicassim is near Valencia, on the beautiful coastline of Spain, making it an affordable festival holiday for all.  Music lovers can make a holiday of it with 8 days free camping included in the ticket.  They can explore all the different activities, sights and beautiful beaches that Benicassim has to offer during the day and then rock out to the music entertainment at night.

Benicassim is easy to get to from different locations in Spain.  The closest airport is Valencia which is only a 30-40 minute drive from the site.  Barcelona is a 2.5 – 3 hour drive from the site, or the rail network from Madrid is an excellent option as it only 2 hours.  Despite its name, Barcelona Reus Airport is around 100km from the city of Barcelona, near the town of Salou, and is actually a lot closer to Benicassim than Barcelona.

Eufest’s buses are timed to meet the Ryan Air departures and arrivals at Reus airport, and will take you direct to the festival site; dropping off outside CampFib and the same applies for your return.  The journey by bus from Reus – Benicassim takes approximately 2.5 hours each way.

Alicante is around a 2.5 – 3 hour drive, can get a taxi or hire car from here or you can get one of the super efficient Renfe Spanish trains, these are fast, timely and not too expensive.
