The Black Belles new single, video & UK tour
aaamusic | On 29, Apr 2012
The Black Belles have announced details of a new single, Wishing Well on 30th April 2012 through Third Man Records. One of the many highlights of their self-titled debut album, Wishing Well is a 3-minute exuberant garage rock freefall, wildly spiralling around a snarling guitar riff you’d swap your soul for.
The single coincides with The Black Belles’ first-ever jaunt over the Atlantic. Their UK and Ireland tour takes in 15-dates, including supports with The Horrors, The Cribs and Twin Atlantic at the Jack Daniel’s JD Roots shows.
The Black Belles formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2010 under a shroud of mystery and Internet chatter. Bonding over a mutual love of 60’s garage rock and soul, they caught the attention of ex–White Stripes front man and Third Man Records label head Jack White. The resulting self-titled debut album, produced by Jack and recorded in the goldmine of vintage audio equipment that is the Third Man studio, is a bewitching blend of atmospheric post-punk and macabre rock ‘n roll theatre.
