After attracting the ears of the industry and building on the strong foundation of their ever-growing fanbase, The Lines return with the follow up from their debut single ‘Domino Effect’ with this infectious-indie four-track EP (out 25th June 2012).
Hear the lead track ‘No Illusions, No Cheap Tricks’:
The Wolverhampton four-piece leave a mark on any listener with the soaring vocal melodies of vocalist of Alex Ohm, whose style and energy is theperfect addition to the backbone of their prominent, driving drumbeats and punch-the-air guitar riffs. Taking influences from the likes of TheVerve, Ian Brown and Radiohead, the established sound The Lines create is one ahead of their time, like a band who have been perfecting their craft for years, but with their unique stamp left over each catchy chorus.
The Lines explosive live shows have seen them share stages with Jack Panate, The Maccabees, Babyshambles, Supergrass and others which then lead them to be invited to support fellow Midlanders The Twang. The band have also performed at some of the most respected festivals across the world including SXSW, The Canadian Music Festival, CMI New York, Frequency Festival , Live at Leeds, Camden Crawl , Liverpool Sound City and more.
