PAUL BRADY – Dancer In The Fire

| On 22, Apr 2012

Paul Brady is an Irish folk singer-songwriter who was interested in a wide variety of music from an early age. Initially he played traditional Irish music, but then turned to a more rock inspired electric style, often with political lyrics.
Dancer In The Fire, a double CD of diverse recordings chosen by Paul Brady as his favourites, is due for release on 23rd April, 2012. It’s a companion to Nobody Knows – The Best Of Paul Brady, a 1999 single CD compilation release.
The album is an attempt not to neglect personally important songs which he very much loved. Some have possibly been out of circulation for some time and are under appreciated. They come from a rich musical environment but were not necessarily commercially successful. Others were hugely popular.
Paul Brady has a unique and distinctive identity. The songs stimulate memories of his past loves and hatreds but he’s not too concerned about what the listener expects to hear. Clearly he’s very much at ease with this fine set of reflective songs.
