Moving on we are happy to announce our summer opening party for 2012! Everyone in London town and indeed the UK knows this is one of the events of the year with people travelling far and wide to make the party. We are sure this Summer Opening will be no exception.

This year we will be hosting the party in the L-shape room of Hackney Downs studios. This will be the the first time this particular part of the venue has ever been used for a party and the only space really suitable for us there with the 2 massive open shutters allowing plenty of natural daylight streaming in for the full secretsundaze daytime experience. Joining us on this special occasion we have Deetron, Wbeeza and Aybee.

Deetron (Music Man Records) has been on our radar for sometime with his neo-Detroit sound taking venues worldwide by storm appealing to both house and techno freaks alike with his powerful yet soulful tracks and remixes being released on the likes of Music Man, Clone, Rejected and Strictly Rhythm. His DJing skills are immaculate and quite frankly second to none and have been highlighted by excellent mixes such as his Balance mix and fairly recently his contribution to the Little White Earbuds series of Podcasts. Not only is he still a big vinyl man, but also does a lot of his own re-edits, and the fact that he also embraces the current wave of UK sounds / artists means his sets have a very fresh edge.

Second up we have Aybee (Deepblak). We are are hugely excited to bring him to the UK for the first time for an exclusive date all the way

from Oakland, California. Aybee has to be one of Giles and James’ favourite artists of the last few years. He first came to prominence with his talents being recognised by none other than the legendary Ron Trent releasing on Ron’s seminal Prescription imprint. More recently with string of deeper than deep releases on his own imprint Deepblak and also some killer remixes including Ethyl & Huxley’s “Reflexions”. This was perhaps one of secretsundaze’s biggest anthems in 2011!  His music has a depth and spirituality others can only dream of.

Our 3rd and final guest is Peckham’s finest export and close secretsundaze family friend, Wbeeza (Third Ear). He is one of our firm favourites having performed with us everywhere from Moscow to Barcelona as well of course several dates with us here in London and we’re sure most of you are familiar with his unique South London take on the Detroit inspired House sound that he has made his own. Warren Beeza’s live shows are equally unique; soulful, dynamic and playful and constantly evolving, using them not only to entertain but as a platform to experiment with new material on the floor before it’s committed to wax. Warren’s always one to make the party too, not being shy of jumping on the mic, yh yh yh!

So, as ever, the scene is set for an explosive opening party with a brand new venue, a batch of amazing guest artists representing the breadth of the secretsundaze house sound we all know and love. Tickets are already flying for this so don’t sleep..
