New EP from Herman Dune out April + London headline show
aaamusic | On 08, Apr 2012
Everyone’s favourite vegan folk-rock frenchies Herman Dune return with a new five song EP on 16th April 2012 featuring as the title track the upbeat “Monument Park”, one of the highlights of last year’s critically acclaimed “Strange Moosic” album, along with four exclusive and unreleased tracks from the album sessions with Adam Selzer in Portland, Oregon. These aren’t your usual album cast offs though, each and every one of them could easily have made it onto the album and they’ve all been a part of the band’s live set in the past year, from the bluesy rock moves of “Shadow Of A Doubt” and “Blessing And A Curse” through the plaintive “Waiting For The Dead To Live Again” and the classic wordy Dune of “Drunk But Not With Wine”, almost harking back to the band’s anti-folk origins. A testament to the strength in depth of the band’s songwriting the Monument Park EP stands as a fine record in its own right.
