Historic Royal Palaces and PWR Events are thrilled to announce that showman John Barrowman will provide a spectacular finale to this year’s Hampton Court Palace Festival on Sunday 24th June. Tickets for this extra special date are on general sale now.

John Barrowman, the multi-talented star of stage and screen on both sides of the Atlantic had an incredible 2011 with Torchwood making him a prime time star in the US. He also released a Greatest Hits album with Sony, presented a new series of Tonight’s The Night for the BBC, toured the UK in his sell out concert and wrote a children’s book, Hollow Earth, which received great critical acclaim. 2012 is already proving to be a vintage year with the filming under way for a new prime time TV drama in the US, Gilded Lilys.

After the phenomenal success of four solo albums and accompanying tours, John returns to the concert stage, making Hampton Court Palace Festival his only London appearance for 2012. With a full band and dancers, John Barrowman will provide a spectacular finale to our 20th anniversary celebrations.

John Barrowman said: “I’m thrilled to be performing my summer concert at the favourite palace of so many kings and queens. I hope you’ll come hold court with me for this special mid-summer celebration.”

He will join the legendary Liza Minnelli, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Katie Melua, James Morrison, Caro Emerald, Van Morrison, Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Squeeze and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra who will perform a special 20th Anniversary Gala, which will be followed by spectacular fireworks over the Palace.

In addition to the music, Hampton Court Palace Festival is renowned for creating a truly unforgettable experience. Artists perform in the historic main courtyard of the magnificent Tudor Palace providing an intimate atmosphere for an audience of 3,000. Corporate hospitality is available in the State Apartments and Festival-goers can also arrive early (Palace Gardens open at 1730) and enjoy a delicious picnic courtesy of Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts, in the stunning Palace gardens.
