Keaton Henson is a reclusive singer songwriter who is talented in music, poetry and illustration.
His 10 track debut album Dear is released on 2nd April, 2012 on Oak Ten Records and was recorded at his London home below Heathrow’s flight path.
Dear begins with a brief selection of ambient sounds entitled Prologue. You Don’t Know How Lucky You Are, that follows, is a song about a former girlfriend that touches you with its whispered emotion. Sarah Minor has a gentle feel about adoration despite a person’s faults and Small Hands is another enchanting and intensely personal song.
Keaton Henson has a fragile voice and an intimate fingerpicking style that’s close and affectionate. His distinctive, soft melodies and pleasant slow tones gradually grow on you. These passionate songs tend to drag you deeper into despair and emotion without happy endings, but Keaton is a clever, creative and observant artist.
