IN THE HUDD Festival

New Huddersfield music event IN THE HUDD has announced its’ full line up for Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June. The two day, multi-venue indoor festival takes place at Bar 1:22, The Parish and Little Buddha Bar and will showcase more than 25 of the best in up and coming national acts and local bands. Tickets are now on sale for both days, with a ticket allowing entry to any show in any venue throughout that afternoon and evening.
Topping the bill on Saturday are the energetic indie rockers CLUB SMITH (who recently supported the KAISER CHIEFS on their UK arena dates), hotly tipped BBC Radio One-endorsed singer-songwriter SAM AIREY, and raucous Wakefield wordsmiths SKINT & DEMORALISED.
Other music festival-goers can enjoy on Saturday includes electro-indie anthems from REDWIRE, blues rocking three-piece THE MEXANINES, classic guitar pop from CAPTAIN WILBERFORCE, local indie tykes DIRTY GREEN VINYL and Huddersfield University band FEEDS.
Headlining IN THE HUDD on Saturday are two acclaimed acts with new albums set for release in the Spring – rising folk-popsters ELLEN & THE ESCAPADES (fresh from their full UK tour and a support slot with Paolo Nutini) and math-rock, Sonisphere-slaying riff masters HAWK EYES.
Also playing over two stages on Sunday are local metal heroes MR SHIRAZ, talented indie rocker DANIEL PEARSON, Americana group TAG TEAM PREACHER, 1950’s-influenced rock n’ rollers CHINA RATS, SXSW-approved singer-songwriter JASMINE KENNEDY and anarchic punk band KLEINE SCHWEINE.
