Adam Ant: Dandy In The Underworld @ Proud Camden

London, 6th March
Adam Ant has always been a peculiar character, one of those you can’t help but love, despite everything that happens to you, him, and the world out there. He is, undoubtedly, one of the most iconic figures of the late 70’s and 80’s, still charming and still an enormous source of inspiration for his fashion and music.
Dandy In The Underworld, co-curated by Adam himself, aims to celebrate Ant’s career: a selection of incredible photos, taken on the road, on stage and studio portrait help the world shed a light on the great mystery Ant is, boosting the work of Jill Furmanovsky, Denis O’Regan, Gerard McNamara, Janette Beckman and Hannah Domagala amongst others.
The exhibition truly lives up to the high expectation and the visitor will be truly fascinated by the images, as well as leaving a great sense of understanding on the artist and his complexity.
At the launch on March 6th guests have also been treated by Adam himself, who played a short, intimate set, spanning his entire back catalogue as well as presenting tracks from his new album.
Go and enjoy a taste of Prince Charming: is a must.
Adam Ant: Dandy in the Underworld is at Proud Camden, and runs from March 7 till April 29, 2012
