Bowerbirds’ delicate masterpiece, ‘The Clearing’, is out this week on Dead Oceans and the band have marked the occasion by making the phenomenal video for their song ‘Tuck the Darkness In’ available from their YouTube & Vimeo channels.

Directed by Carols Lopez Estrada, the video tells the story of a young boy with a particular affinity toward fish. However, just like every Bowerbirds lyric is suffuse with metaphor and deeper meaning, so is this short film. An overwhelming sense of freedom and triumph over society’s unreasonable conventions permeate the end of the video.
