The Sun Explodes – Emergence

There are a lot of new rock bands so it is hard to find to find one that stands out, and this one does have some redeeming features like in places reminds me of..
‘Funeral for a Friend’ like in the song ‘Honor Bound’ but they try to be to cleaver in places, and I think if they kept it simple they would have got a better finished product there was a few songs I couldn’t make it to the end of.
I also think the imaginary is not good for an emo metal band it looks more like artwork that would be used by an indie folk band, so I was very surprised when I put it on, so I think a lot of record shops will put this in the wrong section.
I personally review a lot of metal and have been keeping an eye on this band and with second sight like the track of the same name on the album that is just nothing special.
I feel the same about the band, and it is not to I listen to the last track ‘Dead/Alive’ were they over complicate things more with a long piano interlude, that I realize that by this point in the album is just the notification to press the stop button. This is a disappointing offering from a band that showed so many promises.
