I like comic books loads, but you don’t see a lot of rap comic books around and you don’t see any who have a comic book with a soundtrack of music to it given away with the comic itself. I was at the ‘Super comic Convention’ and I found a new comic that is both in one. The cover makes me think ‘Notorious B.I.G’ last ever album and makes you want to pick it up. Yes the artwork is very urban dark using a lot of blacks and browns and greys and it does look ghetto. The comic book has a great storyline but what really gets me with this comic is the awesome soundtrack which is really catchy and I am amazed is not a chart hit already with ‘Get on It’ sounding like ‘Dizzee Rascal’ it’s a hit song. This has success written all over it why hasn’t anyone, as they put in the song ‘Get on it’ gotten on it which is what the record companies should be doing. The comic book is full of violence, drugs and the streets and one killer private investigator or is he a thug you decide.
I don’t want to give too much away, cause I don’t want to spoil the surprises in the comic but I advise you to get hold of one of these and with the CD coming with it, it’s a bargain.
