Bad Wolf – Too Much Too Young

| On 04, Mar 2012

Bad Wolf are a London based indie trio who release their second ever single “Too Much Too Young” on the 5th of March with b-side “A Thousand Myths” rounding off the package.

“Too Much Too Young” is a very catchy song with the bass line in the chorus really giving the song an interesting kick. The song begins with a vamping piano which is shortly followed by guitars and drums. This makes a nice change from the electronic, synth and organ sounds that many indie bands are using today. The song is neither a slow song nor a high energy stomper and I can’t help but wonder if maybe some added drums and a faster pace might have really turned this tune into a more “anthem-like” effort. But overall it is a well crafted song with a memorable melody.

B- side “A Thousand Myths” is a fun tune with a great repetitive guitar riff near the start that sounds like it could be from a Biffy Clyro track and gives the song a strong, heavy rock feel.  The song gets increasingly upbeat and passionate as it goes on over the course of four minutes- even including a surprising key change moment near the end- this song begs to be heard live.
