THE DRAYMIN – Debut Album Stream // Free Download & Video

| On 24, Feb 2012

The Draymin formed in 2005, influenced by bands such as The Verve, The Stone Roses, Radiohead and 90’s dance records. Bands from the present day such as Foals, Coldplay and Arcade Fire have also inspired this record.

They work from ‘The Hut’ in their hometown of Rosyth, Scotland – a wooden garage in their back garden, which they built themselves to allow them the space, time and freedom to piece their music together.

In the 6 years they have been together they have built up a massive hometown following, selling out the 1000 capacity Ballroom in Dunfermline twice and playing to 1200 at the towns Alhambra Theatre.

Now well established on the festival scene, The Draymin have played SXSW, T In The Park (twice), Rockness (twice), In The City, Liverpool Soundcity (twice), Go North, Live at Loch Lomond, Wickerman and Tramlines. They have also enjoyed BBC TV and Radio coverage from their T In The Park performances.

Last year seen the band being offered a session at The Sun Newspaper HQ for Gordon Smart’s Bizarre Sessions, at the time – the first unsigned act to do so. The band has also done live sessions for BBC Radio Scotland, XFM Scotland and also received national airplay when their track ‘Mirrors’ was aired as part of Channel 4’s new comedy ‘Fresh Meat’.

This year The Draymin has managed to secure a sponsorship deal with designer clothing label Luke 1977 (www.luke1977.com). Luke are pushing the bands music through promo giveaways with their clothing (20,000 copies) and help with styling and photo shoots.

Their debut album ‘Should’ve Known Better’ will be released on 2nd April 2012 through Townsend Records, with the physical release having 2 extra bonus tracks and the first 300 copies signed. Catch them live on their mini U.K tour, (see dates).
