BLUE SKY ARCHIVES ANNOUNCE NEW EP

Following a strong response to recent single Cosplay The Hard WayBlue Sky Archives will release the EP Triple A-Side on Monday 27 February 2012. Recorded last autumn at Chem 19, the EP is produced by Iain Cook (AerogrammeThe Unwinding Hours), engineered by Jamie Savage (Olympic Swimmers) and mastered by Kenny McLeod (Mogwai).

 

With their 2011 offering Plural garnering critical acclaim across a host of respected media,Triple A-Side sees the young five-piece continue to develop their craft, delivering a bolder, more coherent artistic statement, both in range and execution.

 

Formed in Glasgow in early 2010, Blue Sky Archives released their self-titled debut in June of that year, recorded in their home studio with Pete Flett (Dead or AmericanHoly Mountain). Pioneering a genre called post-rock pop, they followed up with Plural in 2011, rapidly emerging as one of the most interesting new prospects on the Scottish scene.

 

Highlighted by a range of influential voices including Steve LamacqJen LongAlly McCrae,Jim Gellatly and Vic Galloway, the band have enjoyed significant airplay and shared billing with the likes of Twin AtlanticThe PrimitivesLou HickeyWe Were Promised Jetpacksand Tommy Reilly.
