Team Me – free download ‘Show Me’ & celebrate Norwegian Grammy win
aaamusic | On 22, Jan 2012
Fresh from being awarded ‘Best Pop’ at Spellemann Prisen (the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammys), Oslo’s orchestral indie-pop act Team Me are giving away a new track ‘Show Me’, taken from the album ‘To The Treetops!’, which will be released on 5th March (Propeller Recordings).
On the surface the track is a catchy, shimmering slice of glacial pop, but it is balanced by dark and introspective lyrical content. Full of the rich and varied instrumentation present on all of the tracks on their debut album, ‘Show Me’s anthemic chorus helps to make it one of ‘To The Treetops!’ most atmospheric and charming tracks.
Team Me – Show Me by Propeller Recordings
The band take a truly DIY approach to everything they produce, including the ‘Show Me’ video that was shot entirely by the band themselves. The band were formed after singer Marius Hagen started a side project whilst performing in other bands but became a fully fledged band after the songs gained the attention of a national radio-battle in Norway. Since their live debut in the finals of the competition, the band have achieved acclaim form bloggers and journalists across the world and have performed across the world, including tours with The Wombats and British Sea Power.
The album release will be supported by a full European tour, including a date at The Lexington, London on March 7th.
