A geeky name and some unrestrained hippie-tronica aiming for a clever mix of Klaxons and Stereolab. This is what Londoners Helmholtz Resonators offer on this single, Isobar, with the added pleasure of some passionate lyrics which come as a welcome surprise. The chorus is a wordless explosion of joy. The  remix which comes along with the track in the single release takes it more on Four Tet territory, thus denaturing it. Stripped of its lyrics and lively trippiness Isobar lacks momentum. Thankfully the original is strong enough to stand on its own.
