Spectrum NYE

Saturday December 31st 2011

Electric Brixton

Town Hall Parade, Brixton, London SW2 1RJ

9.30pm-6am

Lineup for Spectrum NYE 2011 starts the New Year as they mean to go on – LOUD.

Spectrum’s lineups this year have boasted the likes of Chase & Status, Nero, Skrillex, Pendulum, Ms Dynamite, 16Bit, Doorly, Zane Lowe, Sinden, Redlight, Hot City, Bare Noize, Japanese Popstars, The Glitch Mob, Stanton Warriors, Jakwob, Borgore, Loadstar and many more. And on Saturday December 31st Spec

trum does not disappoint, as they roll out some big guns to send off 2011 with a bang!

It’s BIG… Joker, Breakage, Roska & Jamie George, Plastician, Sigma and Delta Heavy join Pete Jordan for what is set to be the most raucous party of the night.

Delving deep into the sub-bass styles, Spectrum continues to set a standard with its big lineups full of heavyweight names. And this NYE Joker makes a spectacular return to Spectrum! Bristol’s pioneering dubstep don, fresh from the recent release of his diverse and innovative debut album, has received critical acclaim across the board.

This year has been nothing short of spectacular for Breakage, whose music has won him new fans around the world. His Top 40, A-list anthem ‘Fighting Fire’ catapulted him into the limelight in 2011. And next year is set to be even bigger. Rinse FM’s Roska makes his Spectrum debut alongside partner-in-crime Jamie George – who’ll be on microphone duties. And bonafide dubstep royalty Plastician also gives the bill that deeper dimension.

For those who like things that little bit heavier, Spectrum brings in two acts that are hotter than the sun right now, guaranteeing that 2012 will start with some serious bass-bin action in Brixton: Sigma and Delta Heavy are destined for big things in the next 12 months, after firmly establishing themselves as future stars of the bass music scene in 2011.

That’s one serious main room. And Spectrum NYE 2011 gets even bigger… One of the UK’s leading independent dance labels, Funkatech, brings together a killer lineup for a massive NYE party in Room 2, showcasing some of the best talent in bass music.

eastern electrics NYE 2011/12

Saturday 31st December

The Coronet Theatre

28 New Kent Road, London SE1 6TJ

9pm-6am

mulletover :: Anja Schneider :: Geddes

Bloc :: Laurent Garnier (four-hour set) :: Mount Kimbie (live)

Warm :: Tensnake :: Horse Meat Disco :: Warm Residents

Plus… Snowbombing Secret Room

Tickets for eastern electrics NYE 2011 are selling FASTER THAN EVER! And now we can announce this year’s enormous event is being held at the majestic Coronet Theatre!

mulletover joins eastern electrics for its fourth NYE, bringing world-renowned DJ/producer Anja Schneider along for the party. A prominent part of the Berlin scene, mobilee records founder Anja Schneider will bring an effortlessly minimal vibe to eastern electrics. One half of mulletover, and one of London’s most significant house faces, Geddes brings an element of the underground to eastern electrics NYE. A firm favourite with the eastern electrics crew, he’s sure to smash it!

Bloc join mulletover in co-hosting the main room, leading with legendary DJ/producer Laurent Garnier playing a four-hour set. Garnier’s sets are a playground where Detroit techno meets deep house, while elements of jazz and disco punctuate, and basslines throb. Mount Kimbie – heroes of the post-dubstep scene famed for ambient live sets and a delicious exploration of electronica – join the party. This duo

have seen their star quickly rise despite their unconventional and non-conformist approach to making music. Unpredictable, fresh and making up their own rules, Mount Kimbie live are just irresistible.

Taking over the second room, Warm have plucked one of their most eminent ‘floor-breakers from their bulging roster for the night: Tensnake. A champion of the underground Hamburg sound, and a rising star in electronic music, he combines disco, house and a pinch of funk, taking sounds we all hold dear and twisting and morphing them around one another, and avoiding any hint of cliche. Warm’s mayhem-inducing, disco-twisting Horse Meat Disco ramp up the party credentials. And Warm Residents Ali Tillett, Rob Summerhayes and Ollie Seaman are on hand to help send the eastern electrics crowd into a frenzy.

And, returning for their second year, and marking eastern electrics’ involvement in the 2012 event, Snowboming bring their own brand of festive magic, hosting a secret room. Think winter forest lounge and disco… It’s going to be magical!
