The Bowery is full to capacity for tonight’s performance of Johnny Daukes.
The stage is candlelit, adorned by instruments only.
Johnny Daukes (vocals and guitar) is joined on stage by Rick Hornby (guitar), Janie Price (cello), Christine Lockhart and Sadie Pickering (backing vocals) to launch his latest album “A False Parade” – and this gig served as showcase.
The set-list comprised mostly songs from his latest fatigue, including “The Emperor’s Old Clothes”, “A Roll Caòò”, “Vincent” and “Anthem (for wasted youth)”.
The crowd truly enjoyed the set, shakin’ around little gems such as “To Catch The Stars” and “Looking Under Everything”.
A brief yet intense performance by the artist, which left the crowd incredibly pleased. Johnny Daukes is a must see live artist – recommended.
