Forest Fire Nov/Dec UK Tour

With their sophomore, Forest Fire reject the ‘what’s next’ attitude plaguing so many of the NYC/Brooklyn scene, innovating at their own pace while maintaining a traditionalist’s focus on songwriting. Staring At The X is an electrifying leap forward from the “cosmic Americana” of their debut, Survival – a record more highly praised in some quarters than contemporious releases by Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver, and described by Rough Trade Shop as “an absolute revelation” – named as one of their 2009 Top Ten albums.
The Guardian’s Paul Lester meanwhile found “a general air of beat-poet cool and a careless articulacy to the lyrics that heightens the impression of the band as quintessential SoHo bohos.”
The band will be on nationwide tour in the UK in November/December:
28/11/11: The Shipping Forecast – Liverpool
30/11/11: Cockpit – Leeds
01/12/11: Chameleon Arts Cafe – Nottingham
02/12/11: Cluny 2 – Newcastle
03/12/11: Westgarth SC – Middlesbrough
04/12/11: Hoxton Bar and Grill – London
05/12/11: Sticky Mike´s – Brighton
06/12/11: In Store Gig @ Rough Trade East – London
