Charlene Soraia is a London singer songwriter well known for her cover of Wherever You Will Go by The Calling. This year, it was part of an advertisement for Twinings tea in the UK where she was exposed to a large audience. Her influences are sixties psychedelia and progressive rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, King Crimson and Pink Floyd.
Her debut studio album Moonchild was produced by the Oasis hit creator Paul Stacey and will be released on 21st November 2011 on Peacefrog Records. It’s a curious fusion of jazz and folk guitar and her stunning vocals display her ability and talent. When she hits the high notes, it’s a great pleasure and you’re instantly captivated.
Beyond her gentle cover version of Wherever You Will Go, Charlene Soraia reveals her potential through some impressive songs. She has great strength and individuality. Look at the charm of Daffodils or the quirkiness of Bike and take in the beauty of Midsummer Moon In June. An amazing richness, variety and colour can be found in this album.
