The Lowriders – Fury

| On 06, Nov 2011

“Fury” is the debut album for The Lowriders who have been playing together for a number of years. With a few line up changes, numerous gigs and lots of recording time under their belts this 4 piece are now ready to share their music which they say embodies “the sweat and tears produced from years of rock and bloody roll.” “Fury” was released via their own record label Adrenalin Records on 31st October.

The Lowriders have a classic rock feel that has an 80’s/ Guns and Roses vibe at times. Leading single “Big Moustache” is an energetic anthem with a jazzy syncopated rhythm which features passionate vocals “Big Moustache, aint got cash, I don’t care” and crashing drums.  “Icarus Sun” has a hazy, hypnotic feel to it with a great melody line. “Killer Day” is filled with attitude- starting of slow, minimalist and unassuming it descends into a percussion driven stomper with brilliant guitar riffs that would make any rocker wanna grab a guitar and join in.

“Fury” is completely unpretentious album- everything about it is authentic from the classic rock vocals by lead singer Dave Garlick to the raw production style and unapologetic raging guitars. It is a tried and tested formula that gets people going but it does have to be said that there is nothing new brought to the table in “Fury”.
