Johnny Cash – Bootleg Vol III Live Around The World
aaamusic | On 06, Nov 2011
What can one say about Johnny Cash? The man was a genius and he is terribly missed.
Famous not only for the beauty of his lyrics and his beautiful, reassuring voice; Cash also made a name for himself with his live performances, which always were a truly amazing show.
This album showcases his showman abilities with 50 performances spanning from 1956 to 1979, including 39 previously unreleased takes.
The locations of these performances are also truly fascinating, such as New River Ranch, The White House (at President Nixon’s invitation in 1970), Osteraker Prison in Sweden Exit Inn in Nashville.
Tracks include So Doggone Lonesome; I Walk The Line; Don’t Think Twice, Is Alright; Tennessee Flat Top Box, Long-Legged Guitar Pickin’ Man with June Carter Cash and many more.
A truly beautiful collection, a must have not only for Cash fans but also for those who always heard about the man but have yet to understand his legacy.
