With five critically acclaimed albums to his name, the last three of which were all Top 10 hits, Seasick Steve will release his first ever compilation ‘Walkin’ Man: The Very Best of Seasick Steve’ on November 14^th on Rhino Records UK.

The album features over twenty of Seasick Steve’s most popular songs to date spanning his career from his 2004 debut album ‘Cheap’ right up to this summer’s ‘You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks’ which entered the charts at #6. The tracklisting includes ‘Dog House Boogie’, ‘Diddley Bo’, ‘Started Out With Nothin’’ and ‘Don’t Know Why She Loves Me But She Do’.

The deluxe edition of the album features a full live concert filmed at Brixton Academy as well as the 35 minute documentary ‘Bringing It All Back Home’ which was originally broadcast by BBC Four in January 2009. Filmed in Mississippi and Tennessee, the documentary follows Seasick Steve into his natural habitat of run-down juke joints, roadside diners and freight-train yards as he reflects on his past life and rise to fame.

‘You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks’ was the first Seasick Steve album to be released in North America under a new deal with Jack White’s label Third Man Records. Steve also recorded two songs (‘Write Me A Few Lines’ and ‘Levee Camp Blues’) with Jack White at his Nashville studio which was released on vinyl as part of Third Man Records’ blue series. The association between the two continued when White made a special surprise guest appearance at Steve’s iTunes Festival headline show alongside Alison Mosshart of The Kills and The Dead Weather.

Seasick Steve became one of the hottest ‘new’ artists around when he was catapulted into the public consciousness following an electrifying performance at Jools Holland’s Hootenanny in 2006. Since then, he has won a MOJO Award, sold-out major shows including a prestigious Royal Albert Hall date, charmed every festival from Glastonbury to Latitude, collaborated with Nick Cave and became the oldest Brit Award nominee in history.

This summer saw Steve jam with the legendary John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl at the Foo Fighters’ Milton Keynes National Bowl show. Jones features on the album ‘You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks’ and has also performed with Steve at a number of UK shows and festivals in recent months.
