Lianne La Havas confirmed for Bon Iver’s December US tour

| On 01, Nov 2011

A liberated collection of urban hymns from one of the UK’s most exciting new artists ‘Lost and Found’ is the debut EP from singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lianne La Havas. ‘Lost and Found’ will be released on the 21st November through Labour of Love Records.

From blog to broadcast, Lianne recently performed ‘Age’ and ‘No Room for Doubt’ on Later…With Jools Holland – for a completely new artist performing two songs on the show is relatively unheard of. Also performing on the night was Buddy Greco, Bon Iver and Feist.

Lianne’s beguiling performance on Later not only won over those at home but also the other acts that performed, as Lianne has been confirmed for the coveted support slot on Bon Iver’s December US tour.

Additionally, Lianne will be headlining her first UK tour in November where the London and Manchester dates have already sold out.

‘Lost and Found’ opener ‘No Room for Doubt’ featuring Willy Mason is a one of a kind love song lullaby and has received support from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and XFM. The emotional immediacy of ‘Lost and Found’ (produced by Matt Hales) sits perfectly within the sparse landscape of its contemplative lyrical surroundings. ‘Age’ (produced by Dan Carey) is a vintage and witty tale about not giving a damn about age when it comes to love. ‘Night School’s’ film noir themes are stylishly folded within modest arrangements and a voice that dances between octaves at total ease. Final track on the EP is a cover of Everything Everything’s Final Form’ (produced by Matt Ingram). ‘Lost and Found’ will be followed by a full album next year on Warner Bros Records.

Not too long ago Lianne performed ‘Age’ for The Black Cab Sessions – feedback was unanimous, a star had been born. Her Black Cab performance caught the attention and imagination of the Zeitgeists behind La Blogotheque – a French blog infamous for their charming Take Away Shows. They brought Lianne to Place du Tertre, with its jagged cobblestones, noisy bystanders, and clusters of people blocking the way. Lianne walked there, she played there and she sang there, in less than one week Lianne’s session had received a staggering 30,000 views.
