Septem are an Italian heavy metal band from La Spezia. The band was formed in August 2003 getting together two existing bands, both from the same area. Right from the beginning their style has always been very strong and clear, taking their inspiration from British classic heavy metal scene (Iron Maiden), and mixing it with a modern sound (especially In Flames). Thei live debut was in February 2003, when they joined a contest called Rock&Co. Then they were finalists of Emergenza Rock in May 2005, reaching the third position, and were awarded as Best Guitar.In 2006 they signed with and independent Italian label, experiencing some troubles that compromised the recording sessions, so no album was released.
But they continued with gigs all over Italy and then, in Febraury 2011 they decided to record their first self-produced demo, selling 400 copies in two months.
The band play tonight (19-10-2011) at Camden Rock.
