‘Coins’ is the debut single from Erin K & Tash, aka Erin Kleh and Tash ter Braak. It’s a gorgeous slice of romantic acoustica with beautiful harmonies and a real intimacy that calls to mind the likes of Susanne Vega at her most contemplative. ‘Coins’ has already been picked up by the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, BBC 6 Music and Absolute Radio.

 

The B side is ‘The Sexy Cupcake Ditty’ that showcases the very playful side to this talented duo, a tongue-firmly-in-cheek tale full of sassy humour.

 

Just over two years ago Erin K picked up a guitar and began writing some very unusual songs. She recorded them in her bedroom with the aid of a Macbook built-in microphone, a sunglass case full of change, and a cardboard box drumkit.

 

Tash ter Braak became Erin K’s Tash after seeing Erin’s ad recruiting a band on a London alley wall. Originally from Texas and Amsterdam respectively, together they are co-writers, co-vocalists and co-guitarists. They have developed their own style of melodic anti-folk, with a repertoire that ranges from the witty and provocative to the introspective and sentimental.
