The Lucid Dream Unveil New Single & Tour

| On 06, Oct 2011

The Lucid Dream return in November with the single release of ‘Heartbreak Girl’.
‘Heartbreak Girl’ is a sharp 2-minute hit of bubblegum/fuzz pop, drawn from a wide wide palette of influences, from surf, 60s “Spector” girl group The Ronettes and The Crystals, through to the dark pop of early Primal Scream and The Velvet Underground.

The forthcoming single follows on from ‘Love In My Veins’, released in May 2011, to huge acclaim. The single earned support from Frank Skinner on his Absolute Radio breakfast show, NME Radio (including a session for The Selector show), Q, Artrocker, and major support from BBC 6 Music (Nemone ‘Record of the Weekend’, Lauren Laverne, Gideon Coe, Tom Robinson).
The single coincided with summer shows at The Big Chill Festival, Liverpool Sound City, and a main stage slot at Kendal Calling.
The Lucid Dream were formed in Carlisle, Cumbira, England, in 2008. The bands first 2, sold-out, EP’s (‘Erbistock Mill’ ‘In Your Eyes’), were released in 2010, receiving comparisons to The Jesus and Mary Chain, Suicide, and The Byrds, to name a few, with ‘In Your Eyes’ gaining the accolade of BBC Radio 2 ‘Listeners Tip of the Week’, on Steve Lamacq’s show. These EP’s coincided with support slots to Spectrum (featuring Sonic Boom, founder member of Spacemen 3), Crocodiles, and The Aliens.
‘Heartbreak Girl’ is released on 7th November, on 7″/download, via Holy Are You Recordings. The single is backed with a session version of ‘I Feel So Lonesome’, recorded for The Selector, broadcast on NME Radio.
