Forest Fire is the tribute of Gibson to the burning forests of Canada, as he could see with his own eyes on his leaving day after two years spent in Quebec. Seven songs, between melancholy and introspection, witness the love of Mat for a land devastated by fire, and the sense of despair for leaving in such a difficult moment.

Memories of Wilco, Bruce Spingsteen, and Ryan Adams echo throughout the seven songs. Minimal, meditative, and deep, Forest Fire reaches its peak of beauty with Forest Fire and Icebergs.

‘Forest Fire’ was recorded with Rowland Prytherch (Danny & The Champions of the World, The Epstein) at Truck Studios, Oxfordshire and is released on Clubhouse Records.
