Star One- made up of brothers Phaze One and Blacksta have already  established themselves as one of the UKs most exciting new production teams with their youtube and soundcloud channels racking up thousands of views and downloads.

This production duo, based in Kent release their first EP of original material which consists garage, funk and grime productions on the 26^th of September.  The Star One EP features collaborations with Toddla T, Faro an Sarah Lillie.

“Bagz” opens this EP and is one of the standout track of this EP- with a hip hop fusion with garage that is reminiscent of the classic Basement Jaxx tunes.  “O Maria”, on which Sarah Lillie is the guest vocalist is also a great tune-  the perfect blend of pop, a little grime and some necessary dance beats also. “Slow Down” featuring rapper Blackz is a funky dance song that is well mixed and paced perfectly; starting at a moderate tempo and building up into a stomper of a dance song that would be well received in Ibiza or Berlin dance clubs.

Over the past couple of years and particularly in 2011 the UK has seen the incredible rise of the “DJ/ producer superstar” . The likes of Mark Ronson, David Guetta and Calvin Harris have paved the way for production teams( who previously would have remained in the underground scene) to make it into the mainstream. The quality of the remixes on The Star One EP proves that they have the potential to follow these footsteps.
