secretsundaze and Electric Minds are proud to announce a joint Halloween party on Saturday 28th October at a central Shoreditch secret location with a stonking line up to boot. The pair of promoters and label owners are good friends but have also worked together previously on a number of levels running a sell out event on Easter Thursday and EM hosting a room for secretsundaze last summer.
This will be the first time secretsundaze has thrown a Halloween party so we are looking forward to taking the bull by the horns or should that be dracula by his fangs and embracing this ghoulish occasion along with the Electric Minds crew. Our take on Halloween will be “Halloween Asylum Party” theme. Think straight jackets, drab, grey rooms and limbless kids toys!
Taking place at a much loved central Shoreditch location we can reveal that the guests will be Skudge – live (Skudge) and Fred P (Soulpeople Music / Black Jazz Consortium).

Stockholm based Skudge have without doubt taken the underground House and Techno scene by storm over the last few years. They have taken the stealth approach and blueprint of running their own artist label with minimal promo and press and simple branding to cultivate a fairly anonymous and mysterious image and identity that somehow suits their muscular and raw sound. Skudge’s sound is without any doubt Techno that sits very comfortably in the bowls of Berghain however it also has a warmth, deepness and groove that means it appeals to House heads to with its hypnotism. Tracks like Mirage, Phantom and re-works of their music by the likes of Rolando (used on the 10 years of secretsundaze compilation just a few months ago) have gained them much respect. Their live show is comprised of lots of analogue gear which of course looks great on stage and contributes to that more rough, warm, human sound.

Our second guest Fred P has become one of the most respected “new” DJs breaking through from New York. We say “new” because he has plied his trade for many years but in terms of his notoriety he has really only broke though the last few years with a string of excellent, timeless releases on his own imprint SoulPeople music and other quality imprints such as Laid, Strength and Japan’s Mule Music. Fred’s productions really are quite sublime with tracks such as “Emotive Vibrations” and of course the classic “New Horizon”. On top of this and most importantly for us is one badass DJ really causing a reaction from most people that catch him spin. His set at secretsundaze closing party last year was a definite highlight and we were informed he stole the show at this years Free rotation festival in Wales, the line up which reads like a who’s who in deep House and Techno.

Of course secretsundaze and Electric Minds residents will be in support.

So with one of the most fun dates in the calendar, the meeting of Two of London’s best House and Techno parties, a great venue in central Shoreditch, and a killer line up we can safely say this should be a very special party. Tickets are on sale now on Resident Advisor. You know what to do.
