Eleanor Friedberger, one half of Chicago’s The Fiery Furnaces, will release her debut solo album ‘Last Summer’ on November 14th through Merge Records.

Recently released stateside, ‘Last Summer’ has received great reviews and is now ready to make its European debut, following a London show at Platform Bar & Terrace on September 29th.

Together with her brother Matthew, The Fiery Furnaces won a number of awards, sold out happenings the world over and recorded nine albums with sales that hit well above the 100k mark.

That experience, despite the fact that The Fiery Furnaces aren’t breaking up, inspired Eleanor to make her first solo record, ‘Last Summer’.

In the music, you will hear the casual confrontation of the most emotionally direct Fiery Furnaces songs, plus a lot of snap, crackle and pop. In fact, in these songs made of memories, you will hear the future along with hints of Sparks, Donovan, Procol Harum, Kath Bloom and Todd Rundgren too.
