Broke and in a giving mood, the only thing singer/songwriter Cor Allen had to give his dear friends for Christmas was a Christmas song he’d written.  Getting together with friend and fellow songwriter Derek White, they recorded the song and handed out CD-Rs in red envelopes to all of their friends.  Well received, they decided to start writing and recording together for a new project.  The aim: to start a girl group or a soul group.  Songs about not being able to find the right girl were met, ironically, with the dilemma of also not being able to find the right girl or girls to sing them.  After adding Derek’s brother Mario White on drums and Jonathan Chamberlain on organ/piano they were surprised with what they were accomplishing without the girls that they so desired and decided they didn’t need them after all.”
