Gross Magic, Tashaki Miyaki and Bos Angeles
September 28th
The fourth date in a new music series at the legendary London venue features an exciting and exclusive line up of some of the best emerging artists from the UK & US: Gross Magic, Tashaki Miyaki and Bos Angeles will play to a select crowd on Wednesday 28th September.
Heading up the night, Brighton based artist, Gross Magic, after storming the UK he will now release his anticipated ‘Teen Jamz EP’ in the US through Fat Possum Records, this October. His pop beats and visceral riffs have caught the attention of the music press leading Gross Magic, real name, Sam McGarrigle, to be featured in Guardian’s New Band of The Day and as one of Alt Musics ‘Best New Bands of 2011’.
Next up, LA act, Tashaki Miyaki whose mystery has been the subject of much discussion since their nostalgia infused pop sounds, including an ingenious cover of the Everly Brothers ‘All I have To Do Is Dream’ took the music blogs by storm, this summer. With little still known about this NME Radar tipped, California based duo, this, their first UK outing is sure to bring music mavens out in force. Tashaki Miyaki will release their debut 4 track EP on The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing on October 24th.
Rounding off the night, Bournemouth three piece, Bos Angeles, also tipped by NME Radar and The Fly after their much touted track ‘Beach Slalom’ caught their attention. Described as fitting ‘snugly in the hypna-pop drawer’, the date rounds off a successful summer of touring for the band.
Tickets for the night are FREE and will be available exclusively via the Converse UK website www.converse.co.uk and also www.office.co.uk from Tuesday 20th September.
