Zak Starkey Launches New Band PENGu!NS
DO NOT TURN THE MUSIC DOWN
Drummer for The Who and Oasis, and son of you know who (Google it if you don’t), Zak Starkey today unveils his new band PENGu!NS, offering a free download of debut track ‘HateMale’.
PENGu!NS comprise the enormous talent that is Starkey, alongside the captivating and magnetic ‘Sshh’ on vocals. Debut single ‘Hate Male’ sublimely showcases the band’s love of expansive sound scapes defined by pulsating rhythms that grip like an industrial vice, backbreaking riffs and scorching harmonica.
“HateMale tune is about an asshole on a plane who was asking Sshh to turn down her iPod even though he was three seats away and across the aisle. Sounds aggressive but so was he and so are we.”
‘HateMale’ can be streamed, downloaded and embedded here.
