Macks Faulkron releases EP “Friends” on the 19^th of September. As a producer for Bloc Party, Wet Paint and after touring for seven years Macks Faulkron has undoubtedly met many friends, some of whom such as Matt Tong of Bloc Party, Angela Gannon of the Magic Numbers, and Rebekah Raa of Stricken City make guest appearances on this album.

This is a digital-only EP and is preceded by the release of “Hairspray” which was recorded over the same time period but released separately. When asked if he considered putting all of the material on one album Faulkron says “I did but only briefly. It didn’t make sense to do so. Hairspray is so far off from anything on “Friends”. Indeed, “Hairspray” is a more dance-orientated record- very polished; a perfect record for electro club scenes and is apparently doing well in the Berlin Club scene. “Friends” is slightly more scaled back although all of the characteristics of Faulkron’s music are present. “Friends” is a guitar driven EP with seven strong tracks and featuring live recordings and instrumentation. It seems that where Hairspray might be Faulkrons more commercial release, “Friends” could be more of a personal project.
