BADDIES PLAY DOUBLE-ALBUM LONDON SHOW – SEP 22ND
Thursday 22nd September will see a special one-off show at the Buffalo Bar, London.
Essex 4-piece Baddies will be making their live return, and playing the whole of forthcoming second album ‘Build’, as well as their debut album ‘Do The Job’ in full.
Debut single Battleships (watch it here) thrust the band into the public’s consciousness, with mass radio support, and widespread press coverage via a Fly Magazine ‘Introducing’ Feature (here), a double-page NME Radar Feature (here), ‘New To Q’ feature (here), Kerrang! ‘Introducing’ Feature (here) and Rocksound ‘Introducing’ double-page feature (here),
Their mix of big riffs, jerky rhythms, and infectious chorus often drew comparisons to Queens Of The Stone Age and Devo, while their ferocious live shows saw Clash Magazine hail them as ‘undoubtebly one of the best live bands currently operating in the UK’.
Debut album ‘Do The Job’ was released at the end of 2009 to much critical acclaim (see below). The band relentlessly toured the album worldwide, with 37 European festivals played in the summer of 2009 (a record number for any band in Europe that year), a 7 week / 18 country headline tour throughout, a 2 week headline tour of Japan, and a year ending Australian tour, culminating in a huge new years eve show in Sydney.
For the follow up ‘Build’ the band returned to Rockfield Studios with producer Sean Genockey (Manic Street Preachers, Futureheads, Reuben, To The Bones).
New press shots and a full press release are available from topbuttondigital.com.
