New single Hades out 26th September on Trashmouth Records
With remix from Medicine 8
After the success of The Helmholtz’ last single, “Bombs/Gypsy”, this band of sonic scientists (named after a device created by Hermann von Helmholtz), are proud to present the stomping new single Hades which is out 26th September on Trashmouth Records. Putting the Punk into P-funk the guys have formulated their own unique brand of crazy. Hades is a psychedelic rollercoaster ride through Hell with a big fat bass slapping you around the face and an array of manic synths giving you a vivid insight into dementia! Only holding up for a Commodores style pit stop for a bongo solo in Purgatory. The Helmholtz Resonators have been picking up fans from some of the most respected music broadcasters in the UK and beyond and Hades is not one to disappoint, having already been picked up by BBC 6 Music before a release date was even set!
As if that wasn’t enough, Medicine 8 have turned in a genuine Nu Acid-House monster, effortlessly bridging the gap between 1988 and 2012. The winning combination of Medicine 8 and The Helmholtz’ is shown again in this new remix and is sure to take the club by storm as they did with there remix of Bombs!

A few words from Dr Garland Vanderbilt:
Myself and my companions recently returned from what we thought was going to be a short summer evening walk across the moors in the North of England. Waking up in our bunks onboard the Crystal Submarine slightly more dishevelled than usual, our skin tingling and our eyes filled with strange psychedelic light, it soon transpired that we had actually been missing for 2 weeks.
All we know is that at around midnight on the moors we had apparently met a certain Mr Kendal Blackdrop. Nit much more is known apart from that.
All we have to show for this is that each of us awoke clutching a dark red disc of recorded sounds that supposedly explains what happened……
