A Typical Day on Golden Beach flies Canary Island to Village Underground on September 16 for a free night celebrating the collaboration of London cool and Canarian talent.

Headliners, Tribes, with their manifesto to make life changing music, have been dubbed “the future of rock and roll” by Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe. ‘A Typical Day’ will be a unique opportunity to see them play for free amongst an eclectic mix of international talent. The Canary Island’s Resonance, playing their first gig in the UK as part of ‘A Typical Day’, promise a contrasting taste of the avant-garde with a Canarian progressive sound.

In addition to the music, there will be art in abundance at the evening in East London. Performance artists Carlos Gamonal and Oliver Berhmann will be warming up for Tribes in unorthodox fashion, completing an autopsy on an alien made of pastry and offering its body to be devoured by the crowd in an unusual piece titled “Have you ever eaten an alien?” Plus, Canarian graffiti artist Matias Mata will join forces with local talent to produce a huge 18-metre work to go on display.

Free lomography cameras, flashes and films will be provided for the night allowing wannabe party photographers to capture memories of an event that’s sure to be like no other, before the evening descends into a blurry mayhem with The Bar Fly’s resident DJ, Le Victor, at the helm.
