FLASHGUNS ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM ‘PASSIONS OF A DIFFERENT KIND’
We’re pleased to announce that Humming Records will be releasing the Flashguns debut album on 17th October 2011, distributed by Rough Trade.
‘Passions of a Different Kind’ is the first album from London band Flashguns. It was recorded and produced with Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode) and Barney Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) in Somerset and Kent.
The unusually long wait for the album is easily explained: Lead singer Sam Felix Johnston and his band mates like to take things into their own hands. They drive thousands of miles, spent more nights in their van than their beds, shoot music videos with gifted friends, design their own artworks and can now safely say: “We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved”.
‘No Point Hanging Around’ will be the third single from the album, following after ‘Come and See The Lights’ and ‘Passions of a Different Kind’. It is one of Sam’s personal favorites, and begins with – as he puts it – “a bad ass” rock gesture. The single will be released on 10th October.
The album track listing will be:
1. Sounds of the Forrest
2. Passions of a Different Kind
3. No Point Hanging Around
4. The Beginning
5. Candles Out
6. Good Breeding
7. Heat & Fire
8. Come and See the Lights
9. Noah
10. Racing Race

Flashguns are Sam Felix Johnston (Vocals/Guitar), Olly Scanlon (Bass) und Giles Robinson (Drums).
