‘LIONHEART’
Single released
September 8th
(Richard The Lionheart’s Birthday)
Plus UK tour dates
‘Lionheart’ is homage to England. Over the past year we have travelled to places we never thought possible, seen and experienced things that have blown our minds. This song is a love song about always knowing where you want to be when the tours are over, and the craziness ends.” Bury Tomorrow
Bury Tomorrow are proud to release Lionheart, the first single taken from their upcoming album ‘The Union of Crowns’, the band’s follow up to 2009’s ‘Portraits’. ‘Union Of Crowns’ is scheduled for release in early 2012.
Let’s keep this simple. Lionheart has not yet been released and the buzz around it has been incredible. Dan P Carter unleashed it on the Radio 1 Rock Show two weeks before the release date and in true Carter style, told it like it is, “It’s simply ace.” Due to public demand he was forced to play it earlier in the show than he had planned, highlighting the amount of support Bury Tomorrow have from their fans. The band have had a tumultuous ride but it is plain to see from their live shows just how much this group of young musicians mean to people; the band consistently sell-out the venues they play and deliver an infallible live show that even put bigger names to shame. The lads are doing a Maida Vale session for Mr Carter September 23rd so prepare for something extraordinary!
If you ask Bury Tomorrow what they represent they will answer “English F%$*g metalcore.” Their goal is to release the music they love, come hell or high water and with that they have decided to self-release Lionheart with friends and see where this approach takes them.
In their own words, “This is not about politics, or Royalty, these things are not what we love about England. It’s about loving our country, our fans and our friends and never forgetting the people that have changed our lives here.”
The video for Lionheart will be available September 13th. Filmed in a 17th century church in the depths of Eastleigh, director Tom Welsh has created an incredible video in keeping with the track.
