Hans Commission have been gigging the London scene for two years, including prestigious venues such as Barfly Camden, Zigfrid Underbelly Hoxton & 93 East, Shoreditch. They also made an impact in Manchester when they performed at The Roadhouse.
Already a hit in the Road Runner Alternative Rock Charts, Hans Commission made it to number 1 just two days after being uploaded to the site.
Formed when guitarist Daniel Towle moved to London and joined forces with Alex Surguy, their sound consists of a fusion of rock riffs and electro pop beats creating retro rock, exuding style, attitude and commercial appeal. Bringing a commanding rhythm to the band is Tom Ollis on drums, son of legendary Terry Ollis from Hawkwind.
Their debut single Roundabouts injects their indie/ electro style with catchy lyrics and thumping beats. Lead vocalist Alex who has appeared in videos alongside U2, The Rolling Stones and Soulwax, has a strong, deep vocal that emulates his charismatic stage presence.
With further EPS and gigs later this year, Hans Commission are a band to watch out for!
