New single ‘Blinding Lights’ released October 10th
Alistair Griffin follows up the Top 40 success of Just Drive with new single Blinding Lights, released October 10th. One of the outstanding tracks from his forthcoming album Albion Sky, it punctuates Griffin’s ear for melodic intricacy. Featuring the production talents of Ed Buller (White Lies) it reveals yet another layer of songwriting prowess from the Yorkshire based artist.
Following the Top 20 success of Alistair’s first album Bring It On, Albion Sky is a quantum leap forward and will be released in late 2011. Featuring Just Drive and new single Blinding Lights alongside the soon to be stadium anthem title track Albion Sky the album features production collaborations with both Ed Buller, Elliot Kennedy and Ian Grimble.
Alistair recently collaborated with the Shepherd Group Brass Band creating a beautiful and true brass rendition of Just Drive in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. The “Where There’s Muck There’s Brass” version of the track garnered nationwide media attention with TV and radio appearances.
Griffin continues his lateral approach to releases with the announcement of “Beneath The Albion Sky” Twitter Tour. As interactive as it will be entertaining the tour will see Alistair’s fans becoming the primary source of inspiration by choosing which venues up and down the UK he will play in. There are no restrictions or limitations.
Griffin is a unique talent and is very much in charge of his musical destiny. Both honest and heartwarming, Blinding Lights and album Albion Sky will ensure that the credit due to this enduring talent is finally given.
‘Blinding Lights’ is available from iTunes and all good digital retailers on October 10th 2011.
