Whilst the resurgence of 80s music is never too far away, I embrace the lesser present 70s vibe that is channelled in Howling Bells new single Into the Sky.

 

Ahead of their anticipated album The Loudest Engine, Into The Sky gives fans a wonderful taste of what to expect. With intelligent song writing, pretty vocals and psychadelic instrumentals, the band have developed a retro sound that seems perfectly at home in the modern day.

 

Whilst the song could be polished and given more of an immediate kick (I didn’t really get into it until almost a minute in), it has rekindled my guilty love affair with the 70s and left me intrigued to see what the album will have to offer.
