Lali Compton is a name you won’t forget. The vivacious 19 year old singer, whose roots are Frome in Wiltshire- releases her infectious debut single Butterflies on August 28th out on Tropical Fruit Records .
Butterflies is a catchy summer track that oozes soul and vocal clarity. The song is also accompanied by a superb video that features Lali performing in a dream world of colorful animation, a visual back drop that compliments the feel of the music and lyrics of the song. The single gives an insight into the type of music that will feature on her eponymous debut album – Lali which is released later this year.

Lali has been singing since the age of four and performed as part of a 4 girl singing group in 2010 and has now developed a highly individual and beautiful voice. Her travels to Cuba and South America have contributed to her musical inspirations, discovering new styles, as well as performing with local musicians.
“I love being in motion, and find that music fulfils this desire of transcending both mental and physical boundaries. In keeping with this concept of motion, I hope to continue to incorporate different musical styles into my image, through live performances and future writing”.

From a young age it was apparent that Lali Compton had a unique voice. She was discovered by former Hollywood Killers frontman Jim Penfold at a concert last year, Penfold became Lali’s manager and proceeded to help her record her debut album ‘LALI’ which is set for a late summer 2011 release.
