The Bird Day began with Jason Podkulski and Julian Kowalski in their apartment on Elmwood Ave in Buffalo, NY. Both have played in bands prior but knew they wanted a change in their music. After recording The Bird Day EP in 2009 they continued writing and recruited a band to back them. The band included Gabe Saur on electronics/sampling, Jon Riggie on drums and Ben Steinmetz on bass. In the summer of 2010 they self recorded and released their album Collect Vibrations. After another year of writing and playing shows around their hometown they are self releasing their next album Fed Odd out August 30th.
