Pop Up Shop / Album Launch this Friday

The physical release of Toddla T’s second album ‘Watch Me Dance’ is finally here – if you’re into actual, real, tangible things then this is the version you need as it’s the only place you can get the feature length film ‘Always Moving’, neatly packaged with the CD album.

Toddla and friends will be celebrating the release of ‘Watch Me Dance’ on Friday 26th August by taking over the Drop Dead clothing store on Kingly Street between 1pm – 7:30pm. T Weez will be DJing alongside very special guests, and there will be signed and limited ‘Watch Me Dance’ items available for purchase. Pop in for free drink and a wiggle!

Later that night sees the launch of the new album at Corsica Studios, with some fellow cohorts from the record enlisted to help get the party started. In Room 1 alongside T Weez himself, Coldcut head honcho Jon More brings the selection. UK Garage legend Zed Bias will keep things bumping unil the early hours and Shola Ama will be performing a rare live PA. In room 2 Joe ‘Hot Chip’ Goddard and Raf Daddy will be taking to the decks with their leftfield house project The 2 Bears with strong support coming from Martelo and Terri Walker, and rising star PhOtOmachine.

Residents Hesseltime, Mr Solid Gold, Park Ranger, Hylu & Jago and Oli DAB & Robin will fill the gaps, plus, after a few month’s absence, in room 3 there will be the return of the silent disco and with tickets starting at just £8 for the early birds, this will be a truly unmissable way to kick off carnival.
