About Semibreve Festival:

Semibreve Festival is an event focused on the exploration of electronic music and digital art. Through a meticulous artist selection and a wary perspective on current research trends, Festival Semibreve intends to promote and encourage those at the forefront of their field in digital art, and to curate public performances from some of the most relevant electronic music artists from around the world.

The first edition of Festival Semibreve will take place in Braga (Portugal), from 10 to 13 of November 2011.

The festival will host the exclusive performance of Taylor Deupree and Stephan Mathieu Transcriptions <http://www.discogs.com/Stephan-Mathieu-Taylor-Deupree-Transcriptions/release/1814969>  record, as well as lectures in a beautiful monastery <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monastery_of_Tib%C3%A3es>  built in the 10th century.

The stunning, Theatro Circo <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theatro_Circo> , one of the city’s most revered buildings, will be the heart of the festival; hosting concerts, installations and works created by the Computer Graphics Center and the Department of Information Systems of University of Minho. The Monastery of Tibães <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monastery_of_S%C3%A3o_Martinho_de_Tib%C3%A3es>  will hold the informative and educational extension dedicated to lectures and conferences from leading artists and researchers in the field of music and art-applied technology.
