Noisey, Dell and Intel’s video sharing platform has just gone live with another video feature, this time introducing the rag-tag Glaswegian bunch of ‘Fight-pop’ purveyors Dananananaykroyd and showcasing their raucous performance at Birmingham’s The Flapper.
The show, filmed by Noisey in July, marks a change in the band’s style both musically and in their performance. Watch the ‘Wall of Death’ become the ‘Wall of Hugs’ and screaming transformed into melodic singing, as one fan so aptly put it; “even though they’re playing hardcore music, they’re all about love and having a good time.” Dananananaykroyd believe music is about being as visceral, honest and clear as possible. What more could matter from a 21st century rock band?
Visit Noisey to Meet Dananananaykroyd and hear what they think about touring, rowdy audiences and what their parents think whilst playing a less than rowdy game of mini-golf in a serene rainforest-themed putting course, as well as watch their performances of “Black Wax”, “Watch This”, “Muscle Memory” and “Some Dresses”.
